Netflix just debuted the trailer for their latest holiday film, Klaus. Launching on November 15th, 2019, this animated feature has an impressive voice cast including Jason Schwartzman, JK Simmons, Rashida Jones, and Joan Cusack. Last year’s live action holiday original, The Christmas Chronicles, was a huge hit for the steaming platform so it will be interesting to see if this film finds similar success.
Klaus tells the story of a postal employee forced to work in the Arctic circle. When he comes across a reclusive toy maker, he hatches a plan to bring joy to the feuding town but accidentally gives birth to a Christmas legend in the process. We're not sure how a film about the non-magical origins of Santa will play for some people, but we definitely love the beautifully rendered 2D animation!
