Italian Tenor Andrea Bocelli will release his second Christmas album soon, and this time he’s got some very special guests. His first holiday album, 2009’s ‘My Christmas,’ sold 2.2 million copies that year alone and become one of the best-selling Christmas albums of all time in the United States.
And now with his latest release, appropriately titled ‘A Family Christmas,’ he’s joined by two of his children — son Matteo (25), and daughter Virginia (10). Both have performed with him live multiple times and garnered plenty of praise from fans and critics alike. So, it only made sense to the family, and Bocelli’s label Decca Records, that they should record an album, making this the first time that all three have done so together.
A Mix of Old and New Christmas Tracks
‘A Family Christmas’ includes 13 festive tracks that were all carefully selected by each family member — with father Andrea having the final say. Some are duets and trios while others are solo tracks, letting each member show off their talents. You’re sure to love hearing Matteo’s rendition of ‘I’ll Be Home For Christmas’ and Virginia singing ‘When Christmas Comes to Town.’ Its very first single ‘The Greatest Gift’ is an original track that was officially released on September 8th, 2022. And they couldn’t have picked a better choice, too, as it perfectly showcases all three of their amazing vocals.

Bocelli: The Family That Sings Together…
Along with Matteo and Virginia, the Bocelli family also consists of wife/manager Veronica Berti and oldest son Amos (27). Like all Italians, Christmastime is a very important time in their household, complete with a big feast, lots of gifts, and attending mass on Christmas morning. So recording a holiday album together only made sense for all of them.
Along with this new album, they will also embark on an 11-date tour across the U.S. which includes three first-time performances. Now fans in the Indianapolis; Bridgeport, CT; and Savannah areas have the chance to see him for the first time. Even New Yorkers can rejoice this holiday season — he’ll be returning to Madison Square Garden on December 14th, 2022.
