Whether using your own live tree or our artificial Christmas decorations, it is important that we do our part to protect you. As such, we've compiled a comprehensive list of best safety practices to keep you and your family safe this holiday season.

Fire Prevention

  • Never use products outdoors which are marked for indoor use only
  • When using products for outdoor applications, ensure you connect the power supply to a Ground Fault Circuit Interrupting (GFCI) outlet. If one is not provided or you are unsure if you have one, please contact a certified electrician to ensure proper installation.
  • Do not use seasonal products for an extended period of time. They were not designed for this purpose.
Do not mount or place seasonal products near gas or electric heaters, fireplaces, candles or other similar sources of heat.
  • Do not secure the wiring of the product with staples or nails, or place on sharp hooks or nails.
  • Do not let lights rest on the power supply cord or on any wire.
  • Unplug all seasonal products when leaving the house, when retiring for the night or if left unattended.
  • Never play with or place seasonal products where small children can reach them. Failure to do so may result in fire, burns, personal injury and electric shock.
  • Do not use this product other than for its intended use.
  • Do not close doors or windows on wiring or extension cords as this may damage the wire insulation.

Part Replacement

Replacing a fuse

  • Grasp plug and remove from the receptacle or other outlet.
  • Hold plug firmly with one hand and slide the fuse cover open by using your other hand.
  • Remove existing fuse with your fingernail or a small hard plastic device.
  • Only replace fuses with the same Amp & Watt rating as the fuse previously removed.
