Christmas may be over but there are still several things to do in New York that will keep you in the holiday spirit!
Hello Panda Festival - Through January 26th, 2020
While most of the holiday light displays have come down around New York, one of the biggest is open until the end of the month. Completely taking over Citi Field, the Hello Panda Festival is the largest lantern festival in North America. With over 120 light exhibits, international food vendors, and a variety of performances, this is one bright idea for a fun family night out!
Ice Rink @ Bryant Park - Through February 28th, 2020
There are several rinks around NYC that are still open for anyone looking to spend some time ice skating. However, January 17th marks the return of Bumper Cars on Ice at Bryant Park. This unique winter activity is a lot of fun and a safe way to let out any aggression if Santa didn’t bring you what you wanted for Christmas.
Holiday Train Show @ Botanical Gardens - Through January 26th, 2020
This beloved event is a favorite amongst our Elf Squad. Over 175 New York landmarks are recreated using natural elements to create a small scale metropolis that is both whimsical and surprisingly accurate. If you want to leave the kids at home, they also host Bar Car Nights on weekends with spiked drinks, live DJ’s and other special local vendors.
Holiday Express @ NY Historical Society - Through February 25th, 2020
There’s more than one holiday train show still open in NYC. This year’s they are celebrating the 100th Birthday of author & illustrator Richard Scarry. Several of Scarry’s creations are on display throughout the exhibit, and admission also includes access to the rest of the museum. We highly recommend the Tiffany lamp exhibit on the top floor, which is absolutely brilliant!
Dining @ Rolf’s Restaurant
If you ever wondered what it was like to literally step into a Christmas Tree, then this place is a must visit. This may be a bit of a cheat to include on this list since it is perpetually Christmas at Rolf’s, but it’s the perfect cure for anyone already missing the holidays. Plus, their famous eggnog is only available for a limited time so you do need to visit soon to get the full holiday experience.
